(Barn Happy, Cedar Falls)
Spring has sprung and it's time to shop at Barn Happy and the Spring Shop Hop in the Cedar Falls Downtown District!
Start your shopping early at Barn Happy. Why? Because you can! Barn Happy's spring open house will be held 9:00 am - 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 7. We've had a sneak peek and it's filled to the brim with bunnies, cute characters for spring and lots of products and gifts made in Iowa.
The lower level of the barn isn't the only place to shop while at Barn Happy. The upper level is filled with affordable vintage treasures and antiques. It's always fun browsing and looking for the the perfect gift at Barn Happy. And, did we mention you can buy a pastry and coffee to enjoy while you shop?

If you didn't grab your girlfriends to shop April 5th or 6th during the Cedar Falls Downtown District's Spring Shop Hop, be sure to head there after Barn Happy on the 7th! This year's Spring Shop Hop theme is Build Your Garden, April 5-7, and more than 30 downtown shops are participating. That means you'll find great deals, good fun and special treats. Downtown merchants are going to help you build your garden this year. Simply collect seeds from participating merchants as you shop and dine downtown (click HERE to see a list).
In our downtown district, you'll enjoy breakfast, shopping, lunch, shopping, shopping and dinner...and maybe a little more shopping!
For breakfast, stop at Cottonwood Canyon or the Cup of Joe for your java fix and then head out for some deals at Vintage Iron Co., Peekaboo Baby, The Runner's Flat or the Basket of Daisies. If you're looking for clothing, Little Prairie Girl, Twirl Boutique, Spotlight Style Boutique or Jennifer's on Main.
When it's time for a snack, we have to mention Here's What's Poppin', Scratch Cupcakery, Main Street Sweets and Chocolaterie Stam.
But, let's get back to shopping. If you're looking for a gift, Kitchen Essentials, Fig & Frolic, World's Window and Miss Wonderful are truly unique!
For lunch, may we suggest the Pump Haus or Urban Pie?
Remember, downtown is a district. Be sure to check out Hatchlings & Hens just off State Street at 602 State Street. They're a cute shop across the street from 1st National Bank.
All the shops mentioned are participating in the Build Your Garden Shop Hop! Click HERE to see the entire list.
