Chilly short days, leaves tumbling across the lawn and jack-o’-lanterns glowing in the windows – it just screams Halloween!


Whether you’re looking for a scary haunt or spooky fun for your family, we may have the perfect spooky celebration for you! Here are just a few of the haunts and happenings taking place in October.

Halloween Hikes

“Into the Woods” is a non-scary walk through a candle-lit trail in the evening. A guide will take your family on a 30 minute walk to visit forest characters. Learn, have fun, and have some hot cocoa when you are done.

It’s back! Registration at Octopus College Hill (2205 College Street) at 2 pm and the undead walk begins at 3:00 pm. Family-friendly event with proceeds benefitting the Northeast Iowa Food Bank!
