Time to Vote! 2015 Cedar Valley Tourism Awards

American flag VOTE! Text

It's time to vote! No. No. Not a political vote. Every year, The Cedar Valley recognizes outstanding businesses and organizations that excel in their commitment to customer service and enhancing the quality of life in our community. Because of this dedication, they have contributed to the local tourism industry by significantly increasing the number of visitors to The Cedar Valley. You have an opportunity to vote for a local business or organization who you think has achieved this in 2014.

The difference that tourism-focused businesses and organizations make to our community is substantial. The average Iowa travel party of 2.5 people spends $285.47 daily. In 2013, visitors spent $338.51 million in Black Hawk County. That spending generated $52.53 million in payroll, employment for 2,810 people, generated $13.83 million in state tax receipts and $4.47 million in local tax receipts. Below are photos of last year's award recipients and a description of each category.
