Over the past several years, downtown Cedar Falls has been evolving as an arts and entertainment district and has been certified as a cultural district by the State of Iowa to prove it. Thanks to the efforts of Community Main Street and the many entrepreneurs and community groups who have chosen to invest in the area. Main Street and the surrounding square mile of the cultural district boast a robust array of restaurants, live music venues, specialty and art shops, galleries, historical attractions, cultural events and professional services.

The Cedar Falls Public Library is home to books and magazines and SO MUCH MORE!

The library offers family-friendly events such as SummerFest (June) and LitCon (November). They also offer activities for teens (Game of Thrones Tavern Trivia, Minecraft, Teen Nights, for example),  workshops for adults (The Memoir Project, The Seed Library workshops, Trivia) and lots of activities for youth, including projects for Spring Break every March.
