This holiday weekend, plan to visit the Easter Bunny and enjoy Easter dinner dining out or with carryout!


Hightail it to the Plaza

The Easter Bunny is coming to the Cedar Falls Downtown District! Bring your camera and visit River Place Plaza (E. 2nd and State Streets) between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm to catch a photo of the Easter Bunny AND his friends! 

Easter Egg Hunt
SATURDAY, April 3, 2021

Fox Ridge Golf Course, Dike
Come for the fun and maybe brunch, too! Kids will enjoy searching for candy-filled eggs along the golf course. Easter buffet follows at 11:00 am. Take part in the egg hunt and/or buffet. Buffet requires a reservation (see below).

Fox Ridge Golf Course in Dike is offering a traditional Easter buffet and egg hunt on SATURDAY April 3. Unlimited buffet includes glazed ham, German sausage, Applewood smoked bacon, green bean almondine, spring vegetables, au gratin potatoes, biscuits with sausage gravy, French toast, garlic toast, and desserts. If you’re interested in carryout, they can provide you with a to-go box to fill at the buffet to take home.

Whether dine in or carry out, Fox Ridge asks for an RSVP to 319-989-2213 so they can plan how much food to prepare.

Lark Brewing
Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
6301 University Avenue, Cedar Falls
Lark Brewing in Cedar Falls will be open for brunch on Sunday. Their regular brunch menu includes a selection of breakfast burritos and specials that include bacon and eggs and shrimp and grits. Items can be ordered for carryout.

SingleSpeed Brewing
Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

325 Commercial Street, Waterloo
SingleSpeed’s taproom in Waterloo will host their regular brunch menu on Sunday, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm, and carryout is an option.

Verve Kombucha
Sunday, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm

327 W. 3rd Street, Waterloo
Enjoy their kombucha drink options as well as items off their weekly brunch menu such as French toast, homemade poptarts, breakfast burritos and breakfast poutine.

Whiskey Road
Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

402 Main Street, Cedar Falls
Regular brunch menu includes smoked pork belly, crème brulee French toast and chicken and waffles (to name a few). You may also order off the menu.


Village Inn
6:00 am – 9:00 pm
6319 University Avenue, Cedar Falls
The Village Inn in Cedar Falls will offer a ham steak dinner special in addition to their regular menu. They’re open 6:00 am – 9:00 pm and they suggest you call in the morning or mid-afternoon if you’d like to order carryout. 319-277-5551

Brown Bottle
11:00 am – 2:00 pm
1111 Center Street, Cedar Falls
The Brown Bottle will be open special hours on Easter Sunday, 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. Reservations will fill quickly. Please click HERE to reserve a table online or call 319-266-2616.
