The Cedar Falls Visitor Center is conveniently located at 6510 Hudson Road, just off  Highway 20 at exit 224.  Situated in the city's Industrial and Technology Park, the Visitor Center is surrounded by restored prairie, trails and two lakes.  A demonstration garden in front of the Center educates visitors about native prairie species.  Fishing, bicycling and sledding are popular activities near the Center.  The Prairie Rapids Audobon Society makes binoculars and educational brochures available for birdwatching.

The Visitor Center is open to the public seven days a week providing restrooms, a gift shop, and visitor information about Cedar Falls, Waterloo and many other Iowa communities.  Shaded outdoor seating offers motorists a welcome break.  A conference room is available for community use and private rentals.  The vestibule is accessible 24/7 with maps and brochures about the community for visitors who stop in after business hours.  The Visitor Center also serves as a trail head for the Prairie Lakes Loop of the Cedar Valley Trails.
