Northeast Iowa Steel Guitar Show
CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19
Annual Show showcases the steel guitar in several musical genres including country, swing, blues, jazz, gospel and pop. 30 artists from more than six Midwestern states will perform and many more will be making grooves on the dance floor! Bien VenU Event Center, Cedar Falls.

ARTapalooza

Annual National Cattle Congress
This historic Waterloo fair has a deep tradition of bringing entertainment and agriculture together! Carnival rides, livestock shows, exhibits, family entertainment, live music and PRCA Rodeo make this the event for all! Gate opens at 4:00 pm Wednesday and at 9:00 am, Thursday - Sunday. Cemetery Walk

October 2021

Pink Ribbon Run

Bands of America Iowa Regional
Bands of America Championships are recognized as the premiere high school marching band events in the United States. October 9, 2021. UNI-Dome, Cedar Falls.

Waverly Midwest Horse Sale

Strolling with the Spirits

November 2021

Iowa High School Football Playoffs 
Iowa high school football teams battle it out to be the best in the state. Semifinals, and Finals, November 11-13 & 18-19, 2021. UNI-Dome, Cedar Falls.

Holiday Arts Festival
Find the perfect, one-of-a-kind holiday gift or feature for your home at this juried fine arts and crafts sale featuring works from over 60 Midwestern artists. Festival of Trees
Since 1989, MercyOne Festival of Trees has grown and evolved into one of the Cedar Valley’s most cherished annual events. The week long event not only showcases decorated trees, wreaths and lanterns, it also hosts special events. The festival serves as a fundraiser to support MercyOne hospital through the hospital's Auxiliary membership. November TBD, 2021. Thanksgiving Weekend Bluegrass Festival

Holiday Hoopla

Battle of Waterloo Wrestling Tournament
32 high school teams from across Iowa are invited to participate in this two-day tournament. December 17-18, 2021. Young Arena, Waterloo, 319-433-2100.
 

January 2022

Cedar Valley Wedding Extravaganza
Wedding Extravaganza is a merchant sponsored show and is known as "Iowa's Ultimate Bridal Show". Doors open as noon, style show is at 2:00 pm. Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center, Waterloo. Date TBD

Iowa Snowshoe Race
A 5k and 10k events will be offered and run on a variety of snow surfaces including: packed, powder, and single track. Snowshoes are available if needed. Hartman Reserve Nature Center. Date TBD

Iowa Boat, RV and Vacation Show
Iowa's largest boat show, featuring cabin cruisers to fishing boats from over 25 Iowa dealers, plus motor homes, resorts and fishing tackle. UNI-Dome, Cedar Falls. 319-232-0218. Date TBD.


February 2022

Iowa Fat Bike Race
Participants will ride their bikes around a snow-trampled course in this unique and challenging race.  Route will be similar to cyclocross races, laps will be short 5-10 minutes each with a citizen (beginner) and open (experienced) divisions offered. Taste of 'Loo
With the purchase of a "passport" ticket, businesses will provide you with exclusive specials. In 2021, Taste of 'Loo will celebrate the diversity of dining in Downtown Waterloo with a month-long showcase in February. Downtown Waterloo. Date TBD. 319-291-2038.

Eastern Iowa Home & Landscaping Show

Winter Warrior Duathlon

March 2022

Hawkeye Farm Show 
More than 250 companies display over 800 lines of products and services at the UNI-Dome. Join over 18,000 agricultural producers from Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, and Wisconsin to review the latest technologies in agriculture. Attend daily seminars by leading experts. Sticky Stride
5K, 10K and a kids' 2.5K the Saturday morning of the Maple Syrup Festival. River Hills School, Cedar Falls. Date TBD. 319-277-2187. 

Maple Syrup Festival
Although there will be no pancake breakfast in 2021, Hartman Reserve will beoing to be making syrup and offering many programs that celebrate the process of syruping and the product. In 2022, this annual event will include a pancake breakfast and a visit to the sugar shack to learn how to make real maple syrup; from collecting the sap to boiling it down into syrup. Eastern Iowa Sports Show 
Iowa's largest sport show features extensive displays of recreational vehicles, boats, hunting, fishing tackle, resorts, fishing camps and other summer activities. Seminars and Jungle Safari entertain and educate the family. Date TBD. UNI-Dome, Cedar Falls. 319-232-0218.

The World's Greatest Spring Break for Kids

Funky Junk-a-Loo

Antique Spectacular & Vintage Market 
With more than 150 booths from antique dealers, the UNI-Dome will be overflowing with a selection of fine antiques and vintage collectibles. Dealers will feature all eras and styles of vintage furniture, art pottery, stoneware, books prints, primitives, jewelry, silver, china, antique glassware, postcards, quilts, dolls, sports collectibles, textiles, and so much more!  March 18-20, 2022. FIRST Robotics Competition Iowa Regional

Girls' Night Out

Cedar Valley Soccer Moonlight Classic
The Moonlight Classic Tournament is a unique tournament offered by the CVYSA. Designed for travel/competitive teams, the Moonlight Classic provides an opportunity for teams to enjoy playing under the lights! College Hill Arts Festival
Juried arts festival showcasing over 75 Midwest artists presenting original works in various media. Cedar Valley Jaycees Greater Waterloo Open

Iowa Irish Fest
The Cedar Valley Irish Cultural Association is holding the 8th Annual Iowa Irish Fest in an around the Lincoln Park area and East 4th and Mulberry Streets in downtown Waterloo. Iowa’s only large-scale Celtic festival boasts three stages of music and entertainment, Celtic gifts, food and highland games. Everyone is Irish during this fabulous weekend! Date TBD. Stem & Stein
Join the fun at the Annual Stem & Stein Food, Beer and Wine Fest.
