Gospel Music will fill the air during Cedar Valley Praise Fest at Riverview Conference Center. This week-long event will take place July 15-20, with a pre-Praise Fest concert on July 14, on the beautiful 27 acre campus of Riverview Conference Center, 439 N. Division St, Cedar Falls, IA.
The Hoppers, known as America's favorite gospel music family, will appear in concert on July 14 at 7:00 pm. Doors will open at 6:00 pm. This Gaither Homecoming gospel music group consists of family members Claude and Connie, their sons Dean and Michael along with Dean's wife Kim. They have made appearances ranging from presidential religious inaugural ceremonies and New York's Carnegie Hall to singing conventions and church platforms. Some of their accolades include Mixed Group of the Year from the Heart’s Aflame Awards, Diamond Awards, Singing News Fan Awards (over 12 times), as well as multiple Dove Award nominations, and many individual awards over the last decade. They were inducted into the Southern Gospel Hall of Fame in 2012. See below for ticket information.
The six day 2013 Cedar Valley Praise Fest will be held July 15-20, 2013. The concerts are at 7:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday; and all day on Friday and Saturday. On Monday, Forgiven Quartet will be performing; Tuesday, Spoken 4 Quartet & the Rob Mills Family will be in concert; and Wednesday, The Todd Allen Family will present a powerful night of gospel music. A love offering will be taken, along with a non-perishable food donation to the NE Iowa Food Bank for the Monday through Wednesday evening concerts. Come early at 5:00 PM on Monday night to enjoy the Brats and Burgers BBQ. There is a charge for the BBQ.
A Women's Mini-conference is scheduled for Thursday morning from 10-11:30 a.m. Lora Schneider from Biblical Women Inc. will present “A Dramatization of the Life of Mary”. There will be a love offering taken and an optional luncheon is available. An annual favorite, the Pot Luck Dinner, will be Thursday at 5:00 pm. Tableware and beverages will provided.
The 7:00 p.m. Thursday concert will feature “Iowa's own favorite family of gospel music,” The Browns. They will share the night with FourTwelve and Higher Power.
Most of the weekly groups will be joined by other artists, including Keepers of the Faith from Samoa, Phil & Pam Morgan family, Blake Bolerjack, and Master's Voice for a series of forty minute concerts during the old-fashioned all day music events on Friday and Saturday. Meals are available on the grounds.
On Friday at 6:00 p.m. Soul'd Out Quartet and The Crist Family will be the featured performers. The Saturday evening feature beginning at 6:00 p.m. will be Tribute Quartet and Soul'd Out Quartet.
Join in the Bible Study every morning, Tuesday through Saturday, at 8:30 am. Enjoy freshly baked rolls and coffee, Phil Morgan will lead an exciting study from the Word.
