The Design (in the Artist's words) "A classic TC that was wearing a playful shirt of part of the fight song that runs through the blood of any loyal UNI Panther fan. We ARE ever loyal and won't hold back to shout it!"
About the Artist Sara, known to most as "Fitz", was deeply passionate about art and sports from a young age. This passion never waned as she grew older. She pursued her love for art by majoring in the subject at UNI and eventually became an 8th grade art teacher. Currently, she holds the position of Art Director at Prairie Lakes Church. Fitz's affinity for drawing letters extends to every aspect of her life; from cards to walls, coffee cups to notes during staff meetings, she leaves her mark. A proud graduate of UNI, she remains loyal to her alma mater, proudly displaying her colors of purple and yellow. Beyond her professional endeavors, Fitz actively engages with her community. She mentors student athletes and leads team bible studies, impacting lives beyond the realm of art and sports. In her free time, you can often find Fitz nestled in a local coffee shop or cheering on home volleyball and women's basketball games. She enthusiastically embraced a project that seamlessly merged her passions for the Cedar Valley, athletics, and art. "I love this community, I love UNI, and I love art! This was the perfect amalgamation of all my favorite things!" Sara exclaimed when asked about her motivation to be part of the project.
As a graduate of UNI, Sara is deeply involved in supporting her alma mater's athletic programs. She volunteers her time by leading team bible studies and mentoring student athletes, particularly those on the UNI volleyball and women's basketball teams. Her commitment to UNI extends beyond mentoring; her closet is filled with UNI gear, and she can be found at the McLeod Center for nearly every volleyball and women's basketball home game, cheering enthusiastically from the stands.
