The gals are gathered, you’ve chosen your local shops and restaurants and it’s time to put your girlfriend getaway into action with a weekend filled with delectable delights and shopping destinations in the Cedar Falls Downtown District!
Armed with your best friends, you’ll have a blast shopping, dining and relaxing…
Shop
The downtown district is filled with one-of-a-kind shops to explore. You’ll find indoor décor at Basket of Daisies, and unique gifts at Vintage Iron Co or Driftless Style.

Eat
You and your friends will need re-energize as you shop. A light lunch at Cottonwood Canyon or The Pump Haus Pub & Grill might do the trick. Or, perhaps a break at Chocolaterie Stam, Main Street Sweets, Tea Cellar or Here’s What’s Poppin’ will give you the energy you need.
But, when the day is done and it’s time to unwind, you’ll find our locally-owned restaurants in the district to be relaxing places to visit with friends about your day’s adventures. Whiskey Road Tavern & Grill, Montage, or the Brown Bottle will fit perfectly into your evening plans.

There are so many places to shop, eat and enjoy in Cedar Falls that you’ll need to spend a night or two!
Or, repeat your trip with best friends any time of year during one of our downtown events! If you like shopping, visit during one of the many Holiday Hoopla events in December or Girls’ Night Out on in May (and October). June is also when our city’s annual Sturgis Falls Celebration takes place and it surrounds the downtown district in multiple parks. And, there’s always a great place to eat and unwind after a day at the festival.
