Cedar Falls Visitor Center

The Cedar Falls Visitor Center is conveniently located at 6510 Hudson Road, just off  Highway 20 at exit 224. Situated in the city's Industrial and Technology Park, the visitor center is surrounded by restored prairie, trails and two lakes. A demonstration garden in front of the visitor center educates visitors about native prairie species. Fishing, bicycling and sledding are also popular activities near the visitor center and the Prairie Rapids Audubon Society makes binoculars and educational brochures available for birdwatching.

Shaded outdoor seating offers motorists a welcome break and a perfect location for an afternoon picnic. The visitor Center also serves as a trailhead for the Prairie Lakes Loop of the Cedar Valley Trails.

The Cedar Falls Visitor Center is open to the public Monday - Friday providing restrooms, a gift shop, and visitor information about Cedar Falls, Waterloo and many other Iowa communities. The vestibule is accessible 24/7 with maps and brochures about the community for visitors who stop in after business hours.
