"To bring awareness of the importance and value of our local prairies, and to highlight the beauty of specific plants."

About the Artist

Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from UNI, graduating in 2006 with an emphasis in painting. Her favorite aspect of being an artist involves learning and collaborating with young artists, including her children, conducting private lessons, and volunteering with the Youth Art Team. Much of her creative inspiration stems from observing the imaginative processes of these young artists. Intrigued by the opportunity, Stephanie was drawn to paint a mascot for Panthers on Parade, considering it a great honor to contribute to such a vibrant community project. She has enjoyed interacting with and learning from fellow local artists throughout the project. The Cedar Valley Arboretum and Botanic Gardens holds a special significance for her.  Stephanie collaborated with them in the past and has spent much time with her children in the children’s garden, creating memories of digging in the sand and searching for garden gnomes.
