Nick’s entrepreneurial journey began at just 6 years old, when he and a childhood friend collected leaves from their neighborhood and tried to sell them, hoping to turn a simple idea into something bigger. That early spark of ambition stayed with him, eventually leading him to open Second State Brewing in the heart of the Historic Downtown District.
Nick’s passion for brewing is rooted in people. While his days are often spent in the back, crafting new brews, it’s the moments shared over a cold pint that give his work meaning. For Nick, it’s these personal interactions that make Second State Brewing more than just a place to grab a beer.
His work is a blend of passion and skill, the result of years of hands-on experience and a love for the craft. Nick believes in collaboration. To him, every brewery in the area brings something special to the table, contributing to a growing community of beer lovers. When he takes a break from brewing to enjoy a drink himself, he gravitates towards the classics—bold malts, rich ambers, and smooth Irish reds.
