Independence Day Fireworks

In 2019, the Cedar Valley and cities in the area will be celebrating Independence Day for days!
Check out all the celebrations and be sure to make note of the day fireworks will be on display.

Shell Rock 4th of July Celebration
Shell Rock, Iowa
In the city of Shell Rock, the community celebrates for days (okay, a week)! Saturday, June 29, kicks off with city-wide garage sales and the 5K Splash Dash. On Sunday, enjoy live music, laser tag, the petting zoo and fundraisers. The festivities really kick into gear on Wednesday, July 3! Their beer tent opens, there will be yard games and the Splash Zone for kids opens. There will also be live music by the Sleepy Bones band. On the 4th of July, watch the parade at 10:00 am, visit the Craft & Vendor Event, fun yard games and the music of the Skunk River Band from 7:00 pm – midnight. On Friday, July 5, there will more fun for the kids with the Kiddie Parade at 6:00 pm followed by the Rush Cleveland Trio Band at 7:00 pm and FIREWORKS at dusk (around 10:00 pm). Wow! On Saturday, July 6, food vendors will again be serving up tasty meals from noon – midnight. There will also be Come-And-Go Bingo, the GameLiner and Laser Tag.

4th of July Celebration
The community of Dysart will celebrate Independence Day July 3 & 4! Their celebration includes the Fireman’s Dance with live music by Cody Hicks, Firecracker 5K run/walk, grand parade, Kiddie Parade, brownie baking contest, live music and fireworks at dusk!

Independence Day Celebration
Independence, Iowa knows how to celebrate! Only July 2, enjoy live music from Lonesome Road, and Checker & the Bluetones. At 7:50 pm there will be a military tribute followed by music from Stampede (pop/rock/country). On 4th of July, their Riverwalk Parks Celebration begins at 9am with the 159th Annual Independence Day Parade followed by the Reading of the Declaration and live entertainment throughout the day, culminating in their fireworks display at 10 pm over the Wapsipinicon River. Fourth of July Celebration
Their festivities kick off Wednesday night, July 3, with Movie in the Park featuring “The Little Rascals” and the Fireman’s Dance with the music of Milk & Honey at 9pm in the Memorial Building. 4th of July activities include a fishing derby, a Big Wheel race and kiddie parade for the little ones, the Grand Parade at 1:30 pm, the Truncks Country Foods Egg Toss, laser tag, mini golf, live music with Janey and the Growlers and a lot more fun for the entire family! All this is topped off with a fireworks display at 10pm in Elmwood Park!
Waterloo Bucks Baseball
It is the Bucks' fifth annual "Independence Day Jersey Auction" to support Honor Flight. The Bucks will wear special Independence Day themed jerseys that will be auctioned off during the game with all proceeds going to Honor Flight. The first 500 fans will also receive a Military Heroes Card Set. This card set recognizes military members throughout the Cedar Valley. At 5:45 pm, military heroes who are in the card set will be recognized on the field. Stick around after the game to watch the post-game fireworks extravaganza, presented by Christie Door Company! Mayor’s Independence Day Celebration
You won’t want to miss this! Live music will be kicked off with the wcfsymphony at 6:00 pm with their patriotic tribute to America at the beautiful RiverLoop Amphitheatre. At 8:00 pm, the energetic Brazilian 2wins will take the stage. It all culminates with fireworks over the Cedar River at dusk (about 10:00 pm). And, the event is free.
