Independence Day Fireworks, 2019


In 2023, the Cedar Valley and cities in the area will be celebrating Independence Day for days!

Check out all the celebrations and be sure to take note the day of the week fireworks will take place due to the 4th being on Tuesday. 
 

July 1, 2023

Mayor’s Fireworks
Waterloo, Iowa

You won’t want to miss this! Waterloo’s 4th of July celebration on Saturday, July 1, includes two stages, two beer tents and two sets of food vendors! Live music will be kicked off with the Cedar Valley Big Band at 6:00 pm, the wcfsymphony at 7:30 pm, and 42 Romeo at 9:15 pm at the RiverLoop Amphitheatre. The second stage, located at the RiverLoop Expo Plaza, will include performances by the Waterloo Community Playhouse at 6:00 pm and live music from Heart Smith at 7:15 pm,Fool House at 9:00 pm. It all culminates with fireworks over the Cedar River at approximately 10:00 pm. And, the event is free.
   

July 1-4, 2023

Shell Rock 4th of July Celebration
Shell Rock, Iowa

Saturday, July 1, includes city wide garage sales, kids zone, bags tournament, family movie night and music by Throwback Jack.

On Sunday, July 2, enjoy the kids zone, magic show and music by Deja Blue.

Monday, July 3, in the park includes a kiddie parade, music by Farm Rock and fireworks.

Tuesday, July 4, enjoy the parade and the Cutest Baby Contest.
 

July 1 and 4, 2023

Waterloo Bucks Baseball
Waterloo, Iowa

The Waterloo Bucks will present a fireworks extravaganza following their 6:35 pm game on Saturday, July 1, against the Minnesota Mud Puppies and after their game on July 4 at 6:35 pm against the Mankato MoonDogs. 


July 3 - 4, 2023

4th of July Celebration
Dysart, Iowa

In Dysart City Park
The community of Dysart will celebrate Independence Day July 3-4! Their celebration includes Dysart Lions Club Tenderloin Supper, activities for the kids, grand parade and fireworks.

Fourth of July Celebration
Reinbeck, Iowa

Their festivities kick off Monday, July 3, with live music by the Cory Farley at the Fireman's Dance on Main Street at 9:00 pm. Tuesday, July 4, activities include a 5K run/walk, fishing derby, shopping and food vendors, inflatables, laser tag, pedal cars, Bingo, trap shoot, grand parade and more! In the evening there will be live music by Deja Blue at 7pm, fireworks display at 10:00 pm in Elmwood Park, and a Lantern Launch after the fireworks at the Legion Shelter House.
 

July 3 - 4, 2023

Independence Day Celebration
Independence, Iowa

The town of Independence knows how to celebrate! On Monday, July 3rd the Riverwalk Parks Celebration begins with live music from 42 Romeo at 4:00 pm followed by Grand Marshall at 6:00 pm and Flatland Ridge at 8:30 pm.

On Tuesday, July 4, the Annual Independence Day Parade begins at 9:00 am followed by festivities at Riverwalk Parks. Afternoon fun will include a magic show and lots of live music from Schmidt Brothers and Not Quite Brothers. At 10:00 pm, enjoy fireworks over the Wapsipinicon River!

Cedar Falls Residents: Consumer Fireworks

Consumer fireworks ARE PERMITTED within the Cedar Falls city limits ONLY on July 3 from 9:00 am-10:00 pm and July 4 from 9:00 am-11:00 pm. Learn more here.
