In 2025,Cedar Falls, the Cedar Valley, and communities in the area will be celebrating Independence Day for days!
Check out all the celebrations and be sure to take note the day of the week fireworks will take place due to the 4th being on Friday.

Fireworks Over the Dome
Cedar Falls, Iowa
Cedar Falls and the University of Northern Iowa will host fireworks on the UNI campus at 9:40 pm on Thursday, June 26, 2024.
July 4 and 5, 2025
Waterloo Bucks Baseball
Waterloo, Iowa
The Waterloo Bucks will present a fireworks extravaganza following their 6:35 pm games on Friday, July 4 against the Willmar Stingers and Saturday, July 5 against the La Crosse Loggers.

4th of July Celebration

In Dysart City Park
The community of Dysart will celebrate Independence Day July 4! Their celebration includes a kickball, pickleball and cornhole tournaments, grand parade, fireworks, and more.
July 3 - 4, 2025
Fourth of July Celebration
Reinbeck, Iowa
Festivities kick off Thursday, July 3 with the Fireman's Dance. Friday, July 4, activities include a 5K run/walk, fishing derby, shopping and food vendors, inflatables, laser tag, Bingo, trap shoot, Grand Parade, and more! In the evening there will be live music at 7:00 pm, fireworks display at 10:00 pm, and a lantern launch after the fireworks.

Independence Day Celebration
Independence, Iowa
The town of Independence knows how to celebrate! On Thursday, July 3rd at the Riverwalk Parks activities begin at 4:00 with live music from Flatland Ridge at 5:00 pm followed by Salute to Military at 8:15 pm and Don't Look Back: The Boston Experience at 8:30 pm.
On Friday, July 4, the Annual Independence Day Parade begins at 9:00 am followed by festivities at Riverwalk Parks. Afternoon fun will include a magic show and lots of live music from Gabriel Espinosa, 42 Romeo, and Fool House. At 10:00 pm, enjoy fireworks over the Wapsipinicon River!
July 3-6, 2025
Shell Rock 4th of July Celebration
Shell Rock, Iowa
July 3-5 daily activities include food vendors & beer tent, live music, and Kidzone.
Friday, July 4, includes Parade at 10am and Fireworks at 10pm.
Saturday, July 5, includes city-wide garage sales 8am-2pm, and bags tournament at 11am.
Sunday, July 6, Sunday in the Park.

Mayor’s Fireworks
Waterloo, Iowa
Waterloo’s 4th of July celebration on Saturday, July 5, includes two stages, two beer tents and two venues! Enjoy the Family Fun Zone area from 6-9:30pm. It all culminates with fireworks over the Cedar River at approximately 9:30 pm. And, the event is free.

Consumer fireworks ARE PERMITTED within the Cedar Falls city limits ONLY on July 4 from 9:00 am-11:00 pm and July 5-6 from 9:00 am-10:00 pm. Learn more here.
