Independence Day Fireworks

In 2021, the Cedar Valley and cities in the area will be celebrating Independence Day for days!
Check out all the celebrations and be sure to take note the day of the week fireworks will take place due to the 4th being on Sunday.
July 2 and 3, 2021
Independence Day Celebration
Independence knows how to celebrate! On July 2, the Riverwalk Parks Celebration begins with live music from the Schmidt Brothers at 4:00 pm. Then, it’s the Firehouse 5K, Bags Tournament and Farm Rock live on stage at 6:00 pm. At 8:30 pm, enjoy The Ultimate Garth Brooks Tribute featuring Shawn Gerhard.
On Saturday, July 3, the 160th Annual Independence Day Parade begins at 9:00 am followed by festivities at Riverwalk Parks. Afternoon fun will include a talent show magic show and lots of live music from Flatland Ridge, Teaser, and then Resurrection – A Journey Tribute starting at 8:30 pm. At 10:00 pm, enjoy fireworks over the Wapsipinicon River!
July 2-4, 2021
Shell Rock 4th of July Celebration
Shell Rock, Iowa
Friday evening, July 2, includes a beer tent, food vendors, a free magic show and live music from D’z Guys from 8-midnight.
On Saturday, enjoy the parade at 10:00 am, Splash Zone, Cow Chip Bingo, Bean Bag Tournament, Kiddie Parade at 5:30 pm, Blackout Laser Tag and live music from Butler County Line starting at 8pm.
Sunday in the Park, July 4, includes free events from 11-3pm including live music, carnival games, face painting, a hula hoop contest, pie throwing contest and more. Throw Back Jack will provide live music beginning at 6:00 pm and fireworks at 10:00pm!
July 3, 2021
You won’t want to miss this! Waterloo’s 4th of July celebration has expanded in 2021 to include two sets of stages, food vendors and beer tents! Live music will be kicked off with the Cedar Valley Big Band at 5:00pm followed by the wcfsymphony at the RiverLoop Amphitheatre. The symphony will also present the 1812 Overture during the fireworks. The second stage, located at the RiverLoop Expo Plaza, will feature music by Low Key from 5:30 – 7:30 pm and the B2wins at 8:00 pm. It all culminates with fireworks over the Cedar River at dusk (about 10:00 pm). And, the event is free.
July 3 and 4, 2021
Waterloo Bucks Baseball
The Waterloo Bucks will present a fireworks extravaganza following their 6:30 pm game on Saturday, July 3, against the Willmar Stingers and after their game on July 4 at 6:35pm against the La Crosse Loggers. Also on the 4th, the Bucks will honor our Military Heroes Class of 2021 on the field before the game.

4th of July Celebration
In Dysart City Park
The community of Dysart will celebrate Independence Day July 3 & 4! Their celebration includes the Dysart Lions Club Tenderloin Supper, kiddie parade and activities for the kids on July 3 as well as the Fireman’s Dance with live music by Fireside at 8:00 pm. On the 4th, enjoy the Firecracker 5K run/walk Sunday morning and the grand parade at 11:00 am. In the afternoon, enjoy inflatables, face painting, food vendors, free throw contest, DDC Kiddie Parade, cupcake contest, talent show and fireworks at dusk!

Fourth of July Celebration
Their festivities kick off Saturday, July 3, with a fishing derby and day-long craft sale. The day will also feature big wheel races, trap shoot, 5K run/walk and the Fireman’s Dance on Main Street with music by The Pork Tornadoes. Sunday’s festivities will include food and shopping all day, laser tag, mini golf, inflatables, petting zoo, egg toss, beer garden and magic show in Elmwood Park as well as the grand parade at 1:30 pm and music in the park. All this is topped off with a fireworks display at 10:00 pm in Elmwood Park!
