Party on the Patio at the Hearst Center for the Arts in July, 2018

In July 2018, the Hearst Center for the Arts will be hosting a series of acoustic performances called Party on the Patio. The community is invited to attend the free, outdoor concerts on July 12, 19 and 26 on the patio of The Hearst and enjoy free beer samples from Second State Brewing and samples of Fitkin Popcorn (Fit-Pop).

The Hearst Center for the Arts often hosts live music events throughout the school year including monthly Lunchtime Concerts featuring acoustic ensembles and a variety of Thursday evening concerts that have included the talents of The Songbook Trio, Jazz with Steph and Tom and, most recently, William Feasley, a classical guitarist  who was the first guitarist to be awarded the Peabody Conservatory’s Artist Diploma.

This is the Hearst’s first outdoor concert series and they’ll take place Thursday evenings from 5:00 – 7:00 pm beginning with Zoot and Newt on July 12th. They’re a rock/acoustic/electric duo. On July 19th, Karla Ruth (and Deb Niermann) will take the stage with a mix of folk, rock and a touch of Jazz and blues. Amelia and Melina will round off the series with their performance of Indee-folk music on July 26th.

The concerts are FREE and open to the public. The Hearst will have chairs available but feel free to bring a blanket or lawn chair.

Would you like to find more live music? Visit Nightlife for a variety of live music events taking place in the evenings and Upcoming Events to find festivals and events. And, if you’d like to find more Things to Do, Places to Eat & Drink and Places to Stay while you’re in Cedar Falls, call or visit the Cedar Falls Visitor Center at 800-845-1955 or at 6510 Hudson Road. The visitor center is open seven days a week.

We’d be happy to help!
